Friends Friends...And So It Ends

"So, I guess this is goodbye"

"Only, if you want it to end. I want us to be friends even afterwards."

"You know, it?s not possible. I can never think of you as just a friend"

"But I don't want it to end. We have been such good friends all this time. Why can't we forget everything and just move on?"

"You have already moved on, haven't you? You don't need me now."

*********************************************

"I have been meaning to tell you this since so long. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. And I hope you feel the same way too."

"Uhh, but we have been friends for so long. We have been with each through our hookups and breakups with others. It would be too weird."

"No, it won't. We know everything about each other, so no surprises there. And I know you feel the same way too. Please say yes. We'll always be good friends, if it works out or not."

"Yes" (* Thinks if it really is the correct step. How do you know where friendship ends and love begins? Does being habituated to someone mean you are in love?)

*********************************************

"I have met someone special, and I want you to two to meet."

"This is a big surprise. I never thought you were in a serious relationship."

"I was waiting for the right moment. And now that I know for sure, I want you to like each other. You're my best friend, and I want us three to be good friends too."

"Congratulations. I wish you all the happiness in the world. I am a little busy these days, but will let you know when all of us can go out." (* Thinks I may not want to marry you, I am pretty sure that I am not in love with you, but still losing you to someone else is not something I look  forward to.)

read this and reply because i thought you would understand, a boy and girl are very good friends in school , girl leaves the school, boy tries to find the girl but finds her nowhere. after 3 years he finds her due to a networking site.when he first hears her voice after a long time he jumps with joy, that day was different.girl has moved to a major city and has changed but is still the same at heart, the boy is still the same but only he realizes his feelings, the girl turns him down after he proposes to her after almost 2 years of meeting her again......she says we r too good friends too be in love. but he feels it is the continuation of his friendship!!!
he is not sure but somewhere he knows she likes him.
PS:you may or may not choose to reply to it, but your post instantly buoyed me to write.

@Anonymous
It happens all the time. There's always a yearning to have one close buddy of the opposite sex.And most of the times, one starts to think that he/she feels more than friendship for the other person. And then they try to find the same feeling in the other person's actions/words.One has to be careful, sometimes what you see in the other person's eyes is merely a reflection of your wishes and desires.

Oh and btw, why did u think I would not reply to your post? :-)..Are you a first timer to my blog?(It's hard to keep track of anon commenters :-( ).

hmmm....what u have written perhaps happens to all boys and girls and these are the events that make ur life happening....I i were to imagine my life without these highs and lows i thing it would be so borring. We fall, we rise, we fly high, we fall againg and again we rise and the story goes one...and one day we get married ( and then we crawl)...so scary

I know it happens to a lot of people, it has certainly happened to a lot of people I know. But I dunno about the boring part, I would rather not have such thrills in my life. I feel the "It's better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all" thing is not necessarily true. I mean if you lose someone from natural causes, the pain may be still bearable..But sometimes breakups changes people for the worse, which even they don't realise...
